Over the past several months, The Spur Group has had the distinct pleasure of helping Sunrise Technology LLC develop their Retail-as-a-Service (RaaS) GTM strategy, as well as build messaging, positioning, and marketing collateral for their exciting, transformative new retail technology reveal at NRF 2019. Sunrise EDGE Shelf and LEAP are redefining the in-store experience for Kroger and other retailers by empowering them to create hyper-personalization for customers, maximize sales, enhance operations. and pave the way for ongoing innovation. The EDGE Shelf digital display system makes shopping a more modern, engaging experience, while the LEAP platform enables brand advertising on shelves, media players, and handhelds in physical stores. These new RaaS solutions connect through Microsoft Azure AI and Kroger's Scan, Bag, Go mobile checkout technology. This partnership between Kroger, Sunrise, and Microsoft has brought to light many exciting new opportunities for shoppers and consumer packaged goods brands, such as visual cues for direct shoppers based on packing orders and advanced video analytics to help associates manage out-of-stock products.
Working with the talented product and technical teams at Sunrise, The Spur Group helped articulate the commercialization plans for EDGE Shelf and LEAP, and then helped create a launch framework for an ongoing Go-to-Market strategy as Sunrise continues to transform the retail industry. The Spur Group most recently developed a core set of strategic sales and marketing materials for NRF and beyond. Our team loved learning about the innovative technology Sunrise has developed, working alongside the agile Sunrise team, and visiting a pilot of the connected store experience in Redmond, WA, with an advanced implementation of Sunrise technology, to see these powerful new systems in action. We want to thank Sunrise for a great partnership and congratulate them on their huge success at NRF!
